Are you a fine artist (painting and/or sculpture) that would like help to be more successful? It's hard right now with the economy and our government being basically unsupportive. Looking to form a core group of artists to help each other on a mutually supportive basis and expand from there. We will set our own agenda, plans and events. Common spaces will also be available for sales, meetings, shows, meals and general get togethers with clients, friends etc. There is also in the back an amphitheater for performances and events of all kinds. Progress is being made with some much appreciated help. Last year saw the completion of the porch (except for the ceiling) . Now there is a place to sit and enjoy the view ! (or paint, chat, whatever) Most studios are also usable and can possibly be used on a live-in basis. Much landscaping was done in the form of many new flower beds and walkway renovations with the help of Joan Thomson and more projects and renos are scheduled for spring. As of this point we are moving in the direction of a Fine Art Center - painting, sculpture and possibly music.
This culture needs the arts and , let's face it, it's not getting easier to move in that direction. It takes work and dedication. Success is not for the faint of heart ! This is a ground floor opportunity to help and be part of an active art group and center. There is really just so much space and we can use your help. Come and see which studio you would like !
